bioRI nodes workshop (BioDT)

Abstract

The Workshop on Biodiversity Research Infrastructure (RI) Nodes Coordination and Governance Models is scheduled to take place on May 17 and 18 at the Biological and Chemical Research Centre of the University of Warsaw in Poland. This workshop aims to address the national landscape of research infrastructure and foster collaboration and synergy among bioRIs, particularly at the national level.

During the workshop, participants will explore strategies for coordinating and establishing governance models for biodiversity RI nodes, while also taking into account the input from GBIF ECA nodes. Various topics will be discussed, including the representation of each RI (collection of services) in different countries, the importance of a central fallback limited service to support countries that are lagging behind in specific bioRI services, and ways to ensure that bioRIs provide complementary services that seamlessly integrate into a cohesive whole.
