Ecological Modelling of Marine Connectivity

I recently had the opportunity to participate in a training course on Ecological Modelling of Marine Connectivity. The course was a COST Action and it was held at the University of Montpellier, France. Overall it was an excellent opportunity to learn more about the topic and interact with other researchers.

The contents of the course dealt with the connectivity between marine populations (meta-populations). The instructors talked about different modelling approaches and there was a lot of hands-on coding in R :)

The reception of the organizers to the participants was great and besides a lot of learning, we also enjoyed great French food and wine.

Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone interested in this topic.
